Eight soldiers from 23-28AUG10, are conducting a 90mile/6day march averaging 15miles a day through Yosemite National Park, to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project. On Monday morning of the 23rd.,the Wawona Hotel in Wawona, CA., has graciously allowed the soldiers to have breakfast there before starting out on their march. Family, friends, and supporters are welcome to join them at 0800 for breakfast. Cost of the breakfast buffet is $15.00. Supporters may also join them at the Alder Creek Trailhead 11/4mile down Chilnualna Falls Road, in Wawona at 0915.
On Saturday the 28th. ,the soldiers will be coming down the Lower Yosemite Falls Trail, in Yosemite Valley, around 1515-1530 (3:15-3:30pm), as they make their final march to the Yosemite Village. Family, friends, and supporters are encouraged to cheer on the solders as they make their final 1mile trek.
